Scherbinka Elevator Construction Plant in Moscow for three business days have produced a batch of hospital elevators for medical facilities in five Russian cities that will accommodate the people infected with the coronavirus, reported on Friday the Press-center of Moscow department for investment and industrial policy.
“According to data of 2019, 13.2% of all industrial products in Russia is made in Moscow. Today, high quality standards, many years of experience and modern technologies allow Moscow industry to make a significant contribution to the fight against the coronavirus: 19 elevators will be delivered to five Russian cities", - Alexander Prokhorov, the department director, quoted the Press center.
Specifically, seven hospital elevators of Scherbinka Elevator Construction Plant production will be delivered to the infectious departments of district hospitals in Bronnitsa and Naro-Fominsk of Moscow region. Twelve more hospital elevators have been dispatched to multi-functional healthcare centers of the Ministry of Defence of Russia located in Ulan-Ude, Orenburg and Novosibirsk.
“Th especial cabins of the hospital elevators allow to transport even bedridden patients. The priority call regime for transportation of patients accompanied by medical staff provides an opportunity to use the elevator without stopping at other floors. During the rest of the time the elevator functions as a regular passenger one,” - said in the message.
