From 8 to 11 May, 2018 The Directorate of Russian Elevator Week (REW) took part in the International Exhibition of Elevators and Escalators WEE EXPO, which was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
WEE EXPO is one of the largest events in the global elevator industry. This year, more than 1,000 companies from around the world participated in the exhibition.
A number of strategic negotiations with leading manufacturers of elevator equipment and components were held within the framework of WEE EXPO, by the REW-2019 project team during which representatives of the international industry showed high interest in the Russian market.
There were also agreements with European and Asian elevator associations to continue cooperation and organize national expositions at the International Exhibition of Elevators and Lifting Equipment Russian Elevator Week-2019.
As part of World Elevator and Escalator Expo, the REW Directorate, together with representatives of the China Elevator Association and AFAG Messen, took part in a business tour to the CANNY company, which was organized to demonstrate the use of advanced technologies in the workplace.
Part of the outreach excursion program was a visit by a delegation composed of the REW directorate and representatives of large companies and associations, Shanghai Tower, where participants were able to see first-hand the fastest elevator in Shanghai produced by Mitsubishi Electric, whose speed reaches 22 m/s.
Participation in WEE EXPO-2018 was a significant event for the development of the Russian elevator exhibition, promoting the exchange of experiences, the establishment of new business contacts, and the updating of information on the recent industry trends. The future plans of the organizers of the REW project, JSC VDNH and the National Elevator Union, taking an active part in the upcoming major international exhibitions, with the aim of further promoting the brand of Russian Elevator Week in the international arena.
We invite all industry professionals whose work is closely related to the development of the elevator industry, as well as the construction and operation of vertical transportation to take part in the largest event of the elevator industry in Russia and the EAEU countries.
