Elevator QACs Are Best in the Country

On December 5, within the framework of the 5th National Qualifications System of Russia Nationwide Forum, results of the Best Qualification Assessment Center Contest were summed up. QACs of the Council for Professional Qualification in the Elevator Industry, in Field of Lifting Devices and Vertical Transport took part in the contest. Winners of the Best Qualification Assessment Center Contest received prizes and letters of gratitude.

The contest was held by the National Agency for Qualification Development (ANO NARK) under the auspices of the Presidential National Council for Professional Qualifications in order to promote independent qualification assessment, identify and spread best practices qualification assessment centers use in their work, draw attention of employers and citizens to independent qualification assessment as an efficient mechanism enabling the growth of competitiveness and establishment of the modern qualification market. There are about 500 qualification assessment centers in Russia, and several thousands of them taking examination venues into account.

Olga Lotsmanova, Deputy Director General of ANO NARK, presented prizes and letters of gratitude to the winners of the contest.

‘Independent qualification assessment has become sough-after and largescale in the recent years. The goal of the National Agency and councils for professional qualification is to make it possible for any citizen to come to the qualification center, pass the professional exam and confirm their qualification,’ Olga Lotsmanova noted. ‘This year the contest has taken place for the first time. Considering the interest of qualification assessment centers in the contest, we plan to hold it regularly.’

On the stage of application selection the commission made a decision to divide participants into two groups. The first group included qualification assessment centers of the elevator industry, the field of lifting devices and vertical transport, as well as in field of welding (industries where independent qualification assessment is mandatory according to the professional community), and the second group included all the others.

Also, following the results of the contest three Grands Prix for the best creative work and letters of gratitude were presented.

1st Place:

• PromStroiGrad Limited Liability Company, KhMAD, Surgut (Council for Professional Qualifications in the Elevator Industry, in Field of Lifting Devices and Vertical Transport).
• LUKOIL Technologies Limited Liability Company, Moscow (Council for Professional Qualifications in the Oil and Gas Sector).

2nd Place:

• Young Professionals Agency of Development of Professional Communities and Skilled Workers (WorldSkills Russia), Moscow (Qualification Assessment Center in Field of Hospitality).
• Svarka i Kontrol (Welding & Control) Specialist Training Center, Limited Liability Company, Chelyabinsk (Council for Professional Qualifications in Field of Welding).

3rd Place:

• Center of Qualification Development and Assessment, JSC Scientific and Technical Center of the Federal Grid Company, Moscow (Council for Professional Qualifications in Electrical Energy Industry).
• Techprogress Interdisciplinary Qualification Assessment Center Limited Liability Company, Moscow (Council for Professional Qualifications in the Elevator Industry, in Field of Lifting Devices and Vertical Transport).
• Many participants of the contest were awarded with letters of gratitude by ANO NARK for their active work on development of independent qualification assessment.
